SP Group commits S$2.1 million to boost experiential learning for vulnerable youth and children

SINGAPORE, 13 MARCH 2026 – TOUCH Community Services (“TOUCH” or “触爱社会服务”) launched its inaugural TOUCH J.A.M. Carnival this evening, kicking off a community-wide effort to raise S$3.3 million for its programmes. Held from 13 to 15 March 2026 at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, the carnival champions the community spirit of giving while creating memorable experiences for families through games and workshops.
Supported by SP Group, the carnival was launched by Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law & Ministry of Social and Family Development. TOUCH Ambassador and MediaCorp artiste, Ms Rebecca Lim, made her first official appearance at the fundraising event. Celebrity emcee Mr Gurmit Singh hosted the launch, adding to the vibrant line-up of activities.
At the event, SP Group affirmed its contribution of S$2.1 million over three years to TOUCH, facilitated through Community Chest. SP’s donation enables the formation of the SP CHAMP League, supporting over 700 children and youths aged 7 to 17 years from lower-income families. They will benefit from mentoring, academic tutoring, and access to structured enrichment activities to strengthen cognitive skills and improve social mobility.
Children and youth beneficiaries from TOUCH, as well as beneficiaries with special needs, took to the stage to showcase their talents, expressing their confidence and growth through lively and heartfelt song, dance and drum performances.
JOURNEY, a brand under TOUCH Community Services that promotes the creative talents of people with intellectual disabilities, featured a special JOURNEY x Snoopy merchandise pop-up which includes the launch of the limited-edition JOURNEY x Snoopy: Galactic Playground Collection.
Mr James Tan (陈錦耀), Chief Executive Officer, TOUCH Community Services, said “At TOUCH Community Services, we are committed to building strong families and caring communities across generations. J.A.M. stands for Joy, Art, and Music, and reflects our commitment to spreading joy, celebrating creativity and fostering family and community bonding through shared experiences. Through this carnival, we hope to create moments that uplift, connect and remind us that strong communities are built when people come together with a shared purpose.”
“We would like to thank SP Group for its S$2.1 million contribution to TOUCH in support of our children and youth beneficiaries. This generous gift will enable us to extend our reach, strengthen our programmes, and create meaningful, long-term impact in the lives of those we serve."
Mr Stanley Huang (黄天源), Group CEO of SP Group said, “SP Group has journeyed with TOUCH for more than a decade, from sustained volunteering with seniors to funding vital programmes that help level the playing field for children and youth from lower-income families. Through the SP CHAMP League, we aim to empower the next generation with a strong educational foundation and holistic enrichment programmes to equip them with essential life skills and pathways to discover their talents and thrive.”
In 2024, SP contributed S$500,000 to TOUCH Community Services, to support at-risk youth from lower-income families, providing them with digital learning resources, academic coaching and immersive enrichment activities. Volunteers from SP, also known as SP Heart Workers, guided children and seniors around the carnival’s activity booths, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. Since 2015, SP Heart Workers have been volunteering regularly with TOUCH including befriending seniors at Active Ageing Centres and distributing SP Power Packs – sets of essential items customised for seniors, youth and children who are beneficiaries of TOUCH.
Throughout the 2.5-day carnival, members of the public are encouraged to contribute to the fundraising effort. All proceeds will go towards TOUCH’s Heart of Community Fund to strengthen TOUCH’s programmes, and will benefit more than 216,000 children, youths, families, seniors, caregivers, and people with special and wellness needs.
