Acquisition of two solar farms in Vietnam

SP Group (SP) announced its first utility-scale solar assets in Vietnam through the acquisition of two solar farms in the Phu Yen Province, located in the south-central coast of Vietnam.

The Europlast Phu Yen Solar Power Plant and the Thanh Long Phu Yen solar farm will generate 130 Gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity to the Vietnam Electricity power grid annually. This is able to power 36,000 households in Vietnam (approximately 28,800 four-room HDB households in Singapore) and will help Vietnam to reduce its carbon emissions by up to 105,000 tonnes annually.   

This acquisition widens SP’s solar expertise and offerings in Vietnam, meeting its ambitions to actively contribute towards the country’s net-zero targets.
