The 240 MWp agrivoltaic project in Huizhou is being completed in stages and will be fully connected to the grid by end-2024.

SP announced the deployment of a 240 MWp agrivoltaic project in Huizhou, Guangdong – our largest solar PV project investment in China, integrating clean energy with agriculture. It is also the largest centralised solar project currently connected to the grid in Guangdong and will be fully operational by the end of this year.

The project will occupy about 660 acres of land with a solar installation capacity of 240 megawatt MW. This is expected to generate 7.5 billion kWh of green electricity over the next 25 years, reduce coal use by 920,000 tonnes and abate 4.46 million tonnes of carbon emissions.
