SP Group (SP) signed an agreement with Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation (SABECO) to install 10.44MWp of rooftop solar panels across its nine factories in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  To be operational by Q3 of 2023, the project will provide close to 25 per cent of electricity consumed at the factories. The system will deliver over 14,600 MWh of electricity per year, enough to power more than 4,000 households in Vietnam. This is equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by close to 10,000 tonnes annually.

The partnership with SABECO is the latest in SP’s plan to undertake 1.5GW of utility scale and rooftop solar projects in Vietnam by 2025.
