GreenUP is an innovative, first of its kind, sustainability engagement and rewards programme for resource conservation in Singapore. As part of the SP app, GreenUP leverages elements of behavioural science and gamification to nudge behavioural change and to cultivate sustainable habits for a greener lifestyle. Everyone can participate in GreenUP regardless of utilities retailer.
GreenUP incorporates resource conservation quizzes, tips and gamification. Users undertake regular green challenges, earning reward points in the form of leaves to grow a virtual seed. The seed represents their growth and commitment to sustainability. Users can share this with their families, friends and the community and influence them to go green together!
As part of this programme, SP Group developed an ecosystem of sustainability partners who recognise and reward users for their sustainability efforts like bringing their own bags, mugs, or food containers to participating partner merchants.
