Secondary 1 to 4 students, who are in uniformed groups, are welcome to join us for the Energy Experience Programme (EEP) to discover the importance of energy conservation! Comprising two stages, the programme features interactive videos, quizzes and worksheets to make learning fun and engaging.
Conducted in two half-day sessions, EEP Stage 1 helps students explore energy efficiency in their homes through a home electricity audit assignment and test. Students who pass the assignment and test will be awarded an Energy Efficiency Badge and Certificate.
Open to students who have passed EEP Stage 1, EEP Stage 2 is a highly hands-on half-day session and requires students to complete a project within 6 weeks. Certificates and badges will be awarded to all students upon completion.

Be part of our energy-saving squad! We help educate the next generation on the importance of energy efficiency through a mobile exhibition named ‘Energy Heroes’ that travels to schools. Through interactive exhibits, engaging game stations and fun-filled activity kits with Zap the sidekick, upper primary and lower secondary school students can pick up positive energy habits and learn to be Energy Heroes in their own right.
Ever wondered which appliance in your home consumes the most electricity? Use our Home Energy Audit Calculator to audit your monthly electricity usage!
To begin, simply type in the appliances that you use at home -- click on "Add More" to add more appliances to your list. The standard wattage will automatically appear; you may also type it in manually. Then, fill in the number of units you have of each appliance, followed by the number of hours you use each appliance per day.
We have partnered Singapore Polytechnic to promote renewables and innovation in technology development. Our $1 million sponsorship is enabling the polytechnic to build solar vehicles and participate in three editions of the World Solar Challenge in 2015, 2017 and 2019. Our engineering staff, who are alumni of the polytechnic, served as mentors to the team, and also helped look after the welfare of the team during the solar race.
We have also launched the SunSPEC Polytechnic and University Sponsorship scheme that offers academic sponsorship to the Singapore Polytechnic students that are part of the SunSPEC solar car team. This is an avenue to groom future engineering talent for SP and the power sector.
